Questions
Who checks my Italian passport photo?
Italian passport offices scan your photo into software that tests it against European ICAO parameters, and non-compliant images are flagged automatically.
Can my child have toys or a parent in the photo?
No. Only the child may appear — no chair backs, toys or other people — facing the camera with the mouth closed.
Do I have to wear my glasses in an Italian passport photo?
No, glasses are optional. If you keep them on, use clear lenses with thin frames, and tilt your head slightly to avoid flash reflections.
