Questions
Do I need both a digital and a printed photo for a China visa?
Usually yes. You upload the digital photo in the online application, and the embassy asks you to bring a standard printed photo when you submit your passport.
Why is the China visa photo not square like the U.S. one?
China uses its own 33 × 48 mm paper format and a 3:4 digital frame (354 × 472 px). A 2 × 2 in U.S. photo will be rejected.
What if the online system keeps rejecting my photo?
The system checks photos automatically. If it still fails after several tries, continue the form and bring a compliant printed photo to your appointment.
